A tapered drum pendant that does two jobs at once: it lights a room and takes the edge off the noise in it. The shade is PET acoustic felt over an iron frame, and the porous felt absorbs mid and high frequency sound to cut echo and reverberation underneath it. The piece softens a busy room rather than soundproofing it, so in a large hard-surfaced space use several of them or pair it with other soft finishes.

The light source is an integrated LED at a neutral 4000K with CRI Ra 90 or higher, giving even, glare-controlled light that suits desks and dining tables alike. Two sizes are available: 22.8 inches across and 11.8 inches deep (58cm) at 30W for a desk or small meeting table, and 30.7 inches across at 11.8 inches deep (78cm) at 50W for a dining or conference table. Six felt colours are offered - black, blue, green, red, brown, and orange.

It hardwires to a ceiling junction box rather than plugging in, so switch off the breaker and use a licensed electrician; the cords shorten to set your drop height. The sealed LED is not user-replaceable, and the fixture is rated IP20 for indoor, dry locations. Dimming depends on the driver, so confirm compatibility before wiring in a dimmer. Dust the felt with a soft brush or a vacuum on low suction, avoiding water and solvents.
