The burl wood pyramid table lamp is a study in geometry: a truncated pyramid base topped by a matching angular shade, both cut from richly grained burl. The result is a warm, architectural object with an earthy presence, equally at home on a console, a bedside table or a desk. Because the grain runs differently through every panel, no two examples look quite the same, so the piece arrives as a one-off rather than a repeat.

Two sizes are available: 13.8 inches in diameter by 17.7 inches high (35 by 45 cm), and 15.0 inches by 20.5 inches (38 by 52 cm). The smaller suits a nightstand, the larger scales up for a hallway console. An internal metal frame supports the timber. The socket takes an E26 or E27 bulb, LED or Edison, and a warm bulb flatters the grain; bulbs are not included.

An inline push-button switch on the 59.1-inch cord handles on and off, and plug variants cover the US, UK, EU and Australia at AC 110 to 240 volts. Keep the cord tucked behind furniture rather than trailing across a walkway where it could be tripped over or tugged by a child or pet. Rated IP20, the piece is for dry indoor use only; wipe it with a dry cloth and keep it away from steam and standing water.
