      Each globe on the Blown Glass Globe Monk-Cap Pendant is mouth blown, which is where its depth of color and luminosity come from. The sphere hangs from a monk's cap fitting on a short metal stalk, a compact detail that keeps attention on the glass itself. Two sizes are offered, 5.9 inches and 7.9 inches (15 and 20 cm) in both diameter and height, so a single fixture or a mixed cluster is workable.

      Shade colors are smoke gray, dark blue, and wine red, over a black or gold metal fitting. Unlit, the tinted glass reads almost solid, but switched on it turns luminous and saturated, which makes the difference between the off and on state unusually dramatic. It takes an E26 or E27 bulb, LED or Edison, so a filament lamp inside the colored glass gives a warmer, more visible core.

      Hang one over a bedside table, or cluster three at staggered heights above a counter or dining table. The flex is matched to the metalwork, the 59 inch (150 cm) drop is adjustable, and the fitting is compatible with sloped ceilings, which helps in attic rooms and stairwells. It is hardwired and used with a common wall switch, not included. Rated IP20, install in dry indoor locations only.
