The Metal Pivoting L-Arm Recessed Wall Sconce strips a reading light back to its essentials: a flush metal disc set into the wall, and a slim L-shaped arm that tilts and rotates at both joints. Aim it down onto a book, turn it up the wall for a soft graze, or fold it back against the plate when it is not in use. The face plate measures 3.1 in (80 mm) across and 4.3 in (110 mm) tall.

The body is metal and the light source is an integrated LED in a warm tone, so there is no bulb to source and none to replace later. A push-button switch sits on the disc itself, within easy reach from a pillow, which keeps a bedside wall free of cords and extra fittings. Output is directional rather than ambient, making it well suited to reading, and the fixture runs on AC 110-240V.

This one is a recessed fitting and needs planning before the wall closes up: a back box cut-out of 70 x 70 x 45 mm is required, and it is not suitable for installation in a standard J-box. Share those dimensions with your electrician early. It is hardwired, mounts in pairs either side of a bed, and also works in a hallway, a stairwell or beside a reading chair.
